Children's Ministry
At FBC Jax, we are partnering with parents to lead children in building a foundation of faith that will carry them through their entire lives. We want children to learn that the Word of God is powerful and applies to every aspect of their lives. We want them to know the truth without a doubt and believe it with a child-like faith that will sustain them long after their childhood years. Please come check us out!

Children’s Baptism Process:
Step 1: When the child makes the decision to follow Christ, please share the decision with the church family by contacting one of the Pastors, or having the child come forward during decision time in one of our 4 weekend services.
Step 2: The child and at least one parent/guardian must attend the two part Belong Kids membership class. The first session of the Belong Kids class will be offered the 1st Sunday of every month at 11:15. The second session of the class will be held at the same time as the adult Belong Membership class which is offered every few months. The first session of the class must be completed prior to Baptism. The class is open for children in 1st - 6th grades.
Step 3: The child must meet with the Children’s Minister for a baptism approval interview after completing session 1 of the Belong Kids class. After completing session 1 of the class and an interview, the parent will schedule a baptism date with the front office.
Weekend Activities
AMP’d
Just wait until your kids get a chance to experience the awesome environment of our kids worship hour called Amp’d. On Sundays at 9:45 am and Saturdays at 5:30 pm, they will experience great teaching, awesome music, hilarious skits, videos and much more in a manner that they can relate to and understand. Your children will love it! It's our privilege to introduce them to the love of their heavenly Father and the excitement of following Jesus!
Bible Study Groups
We have one Saturday and three Sunday Bible Study Group sessions for your children. Classes for PreK through 6th grade are on Saturdays at 5:30 pm and Sundays at 8:30 am. Then on Sundays at 9:45 &11:15 am we have classes for all children from 3yrs through 6th grade. Structured Bible teaching is given to everyone, age 2 and older. Our teachers are carefully selected and trained, and our curriculum is scripturally sound. Each classroom has been designed and set-up with the convenience, safety and instruction of your child in mind. To find the appropriate class ask someone at the reception area, or view the listing posted at the Connection Points. We recommend your child attend Sunday School during the same time you choose to attend an adult Sunday School class.
Wednesday Evening
Learning to "Reach Out" at an Early Age
On Wednesday evenings from 6:15-7:30pm we take the opportunity to teach our children how they can impact the lives of others. Young children ages 4-5 attend Mission Friends where they are introduced to the concepts of missions. Girls in grades 1 to 6, Girls in Action (GAs), and boys in grades 1 to 6, Royal Ambassadors (RAs), participate in local and international missions projects. Boys and girls are grouped separately so that they can taught more effectively under the influence of Godly men and women. Summer missions camps for children are available and eagerly attended.
Special Events
During the course of the year we have special activities for children and their families. In October we hold a Family Fall Festival with carnival rides, foods and crafts, all for free. At Easter we hold a massive egg hunt. At the first of the summer we have an action packed week of Vacation Bible School. We conduct baby dedications during the worship hour on select Sundays throughout the year.
